Mercy Reunion

Howdy Classmate!

Don’t worry.  I’m in denial too.  More than a little difficult to believe that it’s been 20 years since we all swaggered across the Mercy stage to get handed that blank piece of paper from Sister Elaine.  But alas…

I’ve got a fun reunion weekend planned out and I am looking forward to having you join us!  It’s either that or we sit around and start unsubstantiated rumors about what you’ve done since that fateful day of June 5, 1993.  Much easier if you just show up.

On Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 7-11pm we will be upstairs at the Bellport Country Club for a night out!  Join us for drinks, dinner and drinks in your cocktail attire (men, if you still have an aversion to ties, I would completely get it).  Spouses, partners, significant others and/or trophy dates are more than welcome.  For $75 per person, you get full open bar, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert.  You don’t even need to tip the bartender because I had gratuity rolled in.  Boy are they gonna lose money on this party – LOL!

Trot the kids out on Sunday, August 11, 2013 for a fully catered family picnic at Mercy High School (now known as Bishop McGann Mercy Diocesan High School)(thank goodness we didn’t have to fit THAT on the SAT form).  From noon until 4pm, The Garage Eatery will be providing us with a full assortment of picnic fare (yes, something for the vegetarians amongst us too).  It will be BYOB for alcohol (yes, now we can legitimately drink at Mercy instead of sneaking swigs in the parking lot!) and sodas.  This gig is open to anyone who would like to join us since we have a 50 person minimum (and if we don’t hit it, I’ll have to cancel the caterer).  Adults are $25, kids ages 2-12 are $12.50 and kids under 2 are free.

Since I’m organizing this remotely, I’ll need some help if anyone is game...  Centerpieces, music and name badges for Saturday, games for Sunday, etc.  And of course tracking down “lost” classmates!

Look forward to seeing you the weekend of August 10th as we celebrate 20 years since our Mercy High School graduation!

Sincerely,
